The Constitution of the country was implemented on 26 January 1950, on the same occasion, Republic Day is celebrated by every citizen of India with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm, Republic means government by the people for the people on 26 January 1950. History of 26 January Republic Day
As we know, after the independence of India, on 9th December 1947, we started to form the Constituent Assembly, which was prepared in 2 years 11 months and 18 days. On this day, Purna Swaraj was also declared in India by the Indian Congress government and from that day 26 January is celebrated as Republic Day.
22 committees were elected for making the Indian Constitution. Whose job was to frame the constitution and make the constitution. A meeting of 114 days was held by the Constituent Assembly for constitution making, in which 308 members participated. The main members of this meeting were Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad etc. Apart from these, the public or the press were also included in the Constituent Assembly meeting. It took a total of 2 years 11 months and 18 days to make the Indian Constitution, after which on 26 January 1950, the Constitution was implemented in the whole country. Republic Day is celebrated as a national festival all over India.
