There has been a decline in Covid infection again in Chhattisgarh. On Monday, Chhattisgarh had 69 new cases. The rate of Covid infection in the state has come down to less than one per cent. On Saturday, 94 patients were positive in 6372 samples; on Sunday, 46 patients in 2448 samples. The infection rate reached 1.48% on Saturday and 2.05% on Sunday.
According to the bulletin issued late at night by the Health Department, 7477 samples of Covid suspects got tested throughout the day on Monday. During this, 69 people were confirmed with Covid infection. In this way, the infection rate has come down to 0.92%. There is no report of the death of any patient due to Covid on Monday.
All cases of Covid infection have come from 16 districts of the state. Sixteen patients in the Raipur district itself. Eleven patients in Durg, 9 in Korba and 6 in Surguja. Here four patients have been found in Balrampur, three each in Bastar, Jashpur, Surajpur, Baloda Bazar and Rajnandgaon. The infection got detected in 2 each in Bilaspur, Dantewada, one person each in Korea, Janjgir-Champa, Dhamtari and Balod. Including new cases, the number of people affected by Covid in the state thus far has gone up to 11 lakh 53 thousand 137. Out of this, 11 lakh 38 thousand 639 people have been cured.
Thirty-eight patients got discharged on Monday. Even after this, the number of active cases of the corona has increased to 463. A day before, this number was only 432. The maximum number of 129 patients is in Raipur. Seventy-three patients are undergoing treatment in Durg, 49 in Bilaspur and 25 in Surguja. There are 24 patients in Korba, 21 in Surajpur, 20 in Kabirdham and 18 in Rajnandgaon.
According to the Health Department, there was not a single new case of Covid infection in 12 districts of the state on Monday. These include Bemetara, Kabirdham, Gariaband, Mahasamund, Raigarh, Mungeli, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Kondagaon, Sukma, Kanker, Narayanpur and Bijapur districts. Right now, there is not a single patient with covid infection in Kondagaon, Sukma, Kanker and Narayanpur. That is, the disease rate in these districts is zero.
